Front Desk Agent

Department: Front Desk
Location: Warrenton, VA

We are looking for someone to maintain a warm and welcome atmosphere for our guests in a professional manner, with and upbeat, “can do” attitude. This position requires flexibility with working varying shifts.

FT position-Flexible am/pm shifts required

You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests.

You will warmly and enthusiastically greet arriving guests and assist them with check in/out to ensure they are comfortable and feel welcome while also providing information.

You will promote hotel services and amenities to the guests.

Candidate Profile

· Must maintain a neat and professional appearance

· Able to multitask and stand for up to 8 hours

· Guest Service experience

· Must have Valid Driver’s license

· Work well and communicate Inter-Departmentally

· Work well under pressure

· Hospitality and Microsoft knowledge a plus; hotel experience required .

Essential Functions

•Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, assist them with check in and check out, and respond promptly with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day

•Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that can relate to guests and associates

•Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty

•Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home

•Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met

•Enjoy multi-tasking at a fast pace while having an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency

•Flexibility is a must. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours.

•Experience. Previous passionately providing service to others and assisting them with cash and credit card transactions.

•People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected.

•Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing

•Report to work in uniform presented professionally, neat, and clean

•Run night audit reports and follow the shift checklists each day, completing every task in order to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations

•Investigate out of balance situations

•Make adjustments to accounts as needed

•Complete the DOR (Daily Operations Report) and email it appropriate management team

•Maintain a neat and clean workspace at the front desk and adjacent areas

•Keep eyes open for any and all safety and security issues. Report any problems to the appropriate department   and manager

•Responsible for the settlement and reconciling of guest accounts and paperwork

•Balance cash drawer and make appropriate cash drops

•Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records

•Other duties as requested by management

Position Requirements

•Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions.

•Requires typing, record keeping, and Microsoft office skills.

•Excellent communication skills.

•This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma or equivalent related experience.

•Minimum of one year of Guest Service Representative Experience in a hotel environment

•This job is part of a formal work team within the department.
