Description

Responsible for overseeing activities such as lawn games, fishing, operating bicycle stand, skeet range, and archery range; or assisting guests at an event or performance.

Responsibilities

  •  Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities in order to maintain discipline and ensure safety 
  • Setting up and striking recreational activities for guests
  • Operate as a safety officer for Skeet and Archery ranges on property
  • Communicate directly with guests and assist guests while ensuring excellent customer service is provided
  • Explain principles, techniques, and safety procedures to participants in recreational activities, and demonstrate use of materials and equipment
  • Evaluate recreation areas, facilities, and services in order to determine if they are producing desired results
  • Administer first aid according to prescribed procedures, and notify emergency medical personnel when necessary
  • Schedule maintenance and use of facilities
  • Preventative maintenance, cleaning, and service or recreation equipment and peripherals
  • Other conference operations duties as assigned, to include but not limited to set up and tear down for events

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years or older
  • Must be able to obtain CPR/AED certification
  • Must be able to obtain Weapon Safety certification
  • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
  • Able to read and understand manuals and procedural documentation
  • Ability to conduct research into products and issues as required
  • Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Work Conditions

  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Working outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate small parts
  • Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects
